October 30th was a night our four honorees will never forget as our awesome community came together to celebrate success! TheGala Committee perfected the decor' so the audience was awe'd when they enter ed Alice in Gala-Land in the Don Barnett Arena of the Civic Center!  Alice In Gala-Land featured a fabulous array of food by Zayner's Parkway Catering that included a magnificent dessert table! We learned more about our sponsor Helena Moore and her planned gifts to the Black Hills Workshop Foundation through a video that honored her continued contributions even though she has passed. Ken Verheerke and ladies from the Barefoot Dance Studio entertained everyone before video's let us get to know Ben, Matt, David and Richard! Being there as they received their achievement awards was a very moving experience for the entire audience.  Our Gala Committee Chair, Cheza, stated, "I always walk away from this event with a new appreciation of what Black Hills Workshop provides to our community and how vital it is to the people they serve!"  Andrea Schaeffer received the Community Connection Award and Forest Recreation and the Black Hills Forest Service received our Volunteerism Award.  Of each ticket sold thirty five dollars was a donation toward furnishings for two fully accessible homes for 10 people with disabilities currently being built!!
