CanDu is not just a person or sculpture, CanDu is a way of life! By supporting CanDu and Black Hills Workshop Foundation you are showing what you “CanDu” to make a difference in someone’s life. 

The Rushmore Lions Club showed up in full force at Black Hills Workshop to show their CanDu support! Hundreds of pancakes were poured, flipped and served during the annual Pancake Benefit held in February.  This is CanDu at it's best!  All proceeds will build a picnic/park area for people with disabilities to better enjoy the outdoors behind our facility on Range Road.

Unfortunately, due to state funding cuts, BHWS is currently experiencing a loss of approx. $780,000. This greatly affected the support given to the people we serve. BHWS was forced to discontinue some of the transportation services that allow people the opportunity to be productive, independent community members. Support from our local businesses, community members, and everyone who knows and loves us is essential. We “CanDU” with your participation!! Use the Donate Now button on the main page of this website to contribute and do so knowing your donation truly makes a difference to a person we serve!

A huge thank you to Robert & Debra Mudge and the awesome staff of RPM & Associates for creating CanDu in metal for us to use at many of our activities!
